Ad Astra
Ad Astra is a 20-page short story comic, and the inaugural story of Delay: A Comics Anthology, published by Difference Engine.
Ming Yuet is a ghost, trapped in her own memories, and struggling to move on to her next life. With her stalwart spirit guide, Meng Po, she must discover who she was, what she did, and what’s waiting for her at the end of the universe.

Praise for Ad Astra
“The message is beautiful: mistakes should not be ruminated over to produce guilt because mistakes also inspire life lessons. That is the way to live (and perhaps even die) light. ”
— Soni Wadha, Asian Review of Books“As usual with DE, my eyes starts swirling in tears after some of these stories. “Ad Astra” by @wanlingnic beautifully blends the Chinese folkore of afterlife with the pragmatic land use policy in Singapore to tell a poignant story about a love that transcends a lifetime. !”
— ARC review by @lesenwanderer“Ad Astra” being rooted in the Bukit Brown Cemetery Excavation was a powerful and compelling anchor for the story, yet was readable and meaningful even if you don’t know that context.”
